Because these are rolls they can actually work better than a rectangle
equivalent since there is no heat loss through wood or through gaps
(Sometimes insulating material moves when somebody crawls through
the ceiling).
R factor is not the be all and end all of heat loss, because it's
not a perfect world up there in your ceiling. Heat is lost in more
places than just through the insulating additive. |
